Grants for shade now available
The Nationals Member for Lowan, Emma Kealy MP is encouraging sports clubs, not-for-profit organisations and community groups across the Lowan electorate to take advantage of the third and final round of the Community Shade Grants Program which is now open.
Ms Kealy said funding was available in three bands:
- Band 1: up to $5,000
- Band 2: $5,000 to $20,000
- Band 3: $20,000 - $50,000
Applicants are only able to apply for one grant.
“The program provides funding to build new shade structures, repair or replace existing shade structures, create natural shade by planting trees, purchase a portable shade or a combination of options,” Ms Kealy said.
“There are a number of community organisations in the Lowan electorate that could put additional shade structures to good use,” she said.
The two stage application process involves:
- Expression of Interest
- Full application (shortlisted applicants only)
