Kealy signs up again for Nappy Collection

The Nationals Member for Lowan, Emma Kealy MP has again thrown her support behind ‘The Nappy Collective’ project by signing her office up as a local collection point.

The project collects leftover unused disposable nappies and redistributes them to organisations that support families in crisis or in need.

There are 400 official drop points in 64 towns and cities across Australia, with over 2,000,000 nappies donated since the project commenced in 2013.

“This initiative runs twice a year in May and October and I am very excited to have signed up my office again at 114 Firebrace Street, Horsham as a collection point for the May nappy collection”, Ms Kealy said.

“Last year I was proud to deliver over 600 nappies to the Christian Emergency Food Centre for local distribution to support victims of domestic violence and young mothers in need.

“You don’t have to have a supply of unused nappies on hand to make a contribution – monetary donations are welcome and some people have previously purchased new nappies to support this worthy cause.

“I am proud to support this worthwhile community charity and encourage everyone in our local area to consider getting involved”, she said.

Unused nappy donations are being accepted from now until Friday, 18 May 2018.
