Labor has cut 10 per cent from the road asset management budget and has scrapped the Coalition’s $160 million Country Roads and Bridges program. I’m calling on the community to help report local road surface hazards so that together we can highlight the urgent need for more investment into country roads.
By reporting road hazards directly to VicRoads we can give them the evidence they need to demand additional State funding to better manage and maintain our roads. I believe we can and must make a real difference to achieve safer roads for our region.
I've reported a number of road hazards using the VicRoads service and it's not only quick and easy to do, but the roads have been fixed within 48 hours.
I urge people to report any road hazards directly to VicRoads via the link below and also to sign my petition calling for better funding for country roads.
Our local people deserve safe roads. Add your voice so that together we can call on the Andrews Labor Government to provide an immediate and urgent increase in funding for rural and regional roads in Western Victoria.
