Constituency Questions - Lowan electorate

Victorian Parliament - 16 November 2017 - Ms KEALY (Lowan) - My constituency question is to the Minister for Public Transport, and it is good to see her in the chamber at the moment. The Grampians and Barwon South West Region Passenger Services Cost and Feasibility Study recommended a business case and costings to investigate the return of passenger rail to western Victoria. As of 10 a.m. today, the Victorian government had not yet approached the federal government for funding support for this important project, even though a federal funding pool is available. Minister, why haven’t you supported the eight councils and many locals that support this plan and presented this important project to the federal government?
