Kealy attends headspace Horsham opening

The Nationals Member for Lowan and Shadow Minister for Mental Health, Emma Kealy MP has welcomed the expansion of youth mental health services in the Wimmera at the official opening of Headspace in Horsham today.

Headspace provides important mental health services targeted at 12-25 year olds, along with assistance in promoting young peoples’ wellbeing.

“Headspace offers a range of services that includes support for mental health, physical health, work or study support and alcohol and other drug services,” Ms Kealy said.

“It is essential that our youth have access to mental health support services in the local area.

“Through the Liberal and Nationals Federal Government it is fantastic to see Headspace is now fully operational in Horsham and providing vital support for our local youth.

“Seeking support early helps to reduce the impact and duration of mental illness among young people and it is important everyone knows that it’s ok not to feel great all of the time and it’s normal to seek help,” she said.

Headspace in Horsham is located in Hamilton Street and open between 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday. More information is available at headspace.org.au/headspace-centres/horsham/.
