Kealy calls for flexible VicRoads payment options
The Nationals Member for Lowan, Emma Kealy MP is calling for the introduction of flexible payment options for VicRoads vehicle registrations.
“Many local people are struggling after another year of drought and are looking for the ability to make periodic payments to ease the pressure when receiving their annual vehicle registration renewal notices,” Ms Kealy said.
“The introduction of instalment options would support local people to manage this high annual cost while trying to balance the household budget.
“I have called on the Minister for Roads and Road Safety, the Hon. Luke Donnellan to review current VicRoads payment options to ensure vehicle registrations can be paid by instalments to ease the financial pressure for local households and families,” Ms Kealy said.
Emma Kealy MP is also encouraging people to contact the newly launched CostWatch initiative about cost of living pressures experienced across the Lowan electorate.
“The CostWatch project aims to uncover cost-of-living issues by Victorian families, get households and businesses talking, and most importantly use people power to reduce unnecessary costs,” Ms Kealy said.
“The Andrews Labor Government keeps promising to ease the cost of living pressures, but local people are sick of putting up with unfair pricing, continued increases and inflexible payment options,” she said.
The Liberal National Coalition wants to hear directly from Victorians and over the coming months they will take the CostWatch initiative around the State.
