Kealy praises Hamilton's Baimbridge College school community

Comments attributed to Emma Kealy MP, Member for Lowan:

“Hamilton’s Baimbridge College school community has finally been rewarded for their tireless campaign to hold the Andrews Labor Government to account for a funding commitment made more than a year ago, but never delivered.

“Baimbridge College has been mucked around for far too long by Labor, with absolute silence on this project for the past six months. Disgracefully, it appears Labor have deliberately stalled so they could re-announce it in the lead up to the election.

“I have long been a supporter of the Baimbridge College redevelopment, taking this vital project to the 2014 election and continuing to support the community’s efforts to secure funding over the past four years.

“I assure the school community and the people of Hamilton that should The Nationals be elected to government in November, we’ll deliver this vital redevelopment for the students at Baimbridge College.

“Baimbridge College is the only public secondary school in the Hamilton district and it’s vital this investment is made to support our fabulous educators so our local students will have a brighter future.

“Congratulations to the many people involved in supporting Baimbridge College through their strong advocacy and by supporting my petition.

“It’s only through our community’s relentless efforts to recognise the need to fund this project that Baimbridge College will finally get the long overdue redevelopment our students, staff and school community deserve.
