Merry Christmas from Emma Kealy MP
With Christmas and the New Year holiday season comes a fantastic opportunity to reflect on the important things in our lives and spend precious time with our loved ones. These things have seldom been more significant than they are this year.
I have always admired the way our community bands together to support one another, and I have never been prouder of this than in 2020. It has been an honour and privilege to represent the people of Lowan as we worked together to keep our community safe and continued our efforts to make western Victoria an even better place to live and work.
I have greatly appreciated and enjoyed the diversity of the many fabulous individuals, groups and organisations I have worked with this year, and I look forward to continuing to work for our community in 2021.
As you prepare for the festive season and shop for the wide array of products you need, please make sure you support our local traders and continue that support into the new year. This is more important than ever after the challenges many local businesses have faced this year.
As you enjoy the Christmas and New Year holiday season, please keep safe on our roads and stay vigilant near the water and in the great outdoors.
Please also take the time to look out for others in our community, extend the hand of friendship, and offer the spirit of Christmas to those around you. Generosity is a hallmark of our community, and something that will be especially important this festive season.
I wish everyone a wonderful Christmas and a happy, healthy and prosperous new year.
