Much needed funding boost for four Lowan schools

Four schools across the Lowan electorate will receive minor capital works funding to address roof issues at their schools.

The Nationals Member for Lowan Emma Kealy said while she would have like to see more schools in Lowan receive funding, she was pleased four schools would share in $605,000 to undertake these important maintenance works.

The schools and their allocated funding are:

  • Hamilton North Primary School: $90,000
  • Horsham Primary School: $280,000
  • Dimboola Memorial Secondary College: $30,000
  • Nhill College: $205,000

“This funding, while well overdue, will certainly go some way to help ensure these schools’ teachers and students have the facilities they need and deserve to deliver even better educational outcomes,” she said.

“I look forward to following the progress of all these upgrades and congratulate all the schools and their local communities for their tireless efforts in successfully advocating for this funding.”
