Take advantage of the Power Saving Bonus

On the back of recent announcements that power bills are set to spike, Member for Lowan and Deputy Leader of The Nationals Emma Kealy is urging residents to take advantage of the Power Saving Bonus.

The next round of the $250 Power Saving Bonus opens on the 24th March and eligible households, including those that received payments under previous rounds, are encouraged to apply.

“Families, pensioners and small businesses are bracing for power price hikes in excess of 30%, so I urge everyone eligible to take advantage of the Power Saving Bonus,” Ms Kealy said.

“The cost of living continues to spiral out of control, and a $250 saving can mean the difference between putting food on the table or going hungry.

“While this is by no means a cure-all for the hip-pocket pain people right across the region are enduring, it’s cash back at a time when people need it most.”

Those who haven’t yet applied for the current round of the Power Saving Bonus can do so until midnight on 23rd March.
