Youngcare At Home Care Grants now available

Applications for the Youngcare At Home Care Grants in Victoria are now open.

The Nationals Member for Lowan Emma Kealy is encouraging families and service providers caring for a young person with high care needs at home to take advantage of this potential funding opportunity.

“The grants provide funding for equipment, home modifications and essential support or respite to enhance the quality of life for people aged 18-65 with high care needs and their carers,” Ms Kealy said.

“The funding of between $2,000 and $10,000 is designed to enable people with high care needs to remain at home with their families.

“Examples of approved grants include applications for respite care, ceiling hoists, a water-powered hydraulic life, in-home support, a wheelchair ramp, air conditioning, power wheelchair, pressure cushion and an electrical adjustable bed.

“It is important to note that individuals who do not receive NDIS funding are eligible to apply.”

Applications close on 13 March 2019.
