Agricultural and Pastoral Societies grants now open

Member for Lowan and Deputy Leader of The Nationals Emma Kealy is inviting agricultural and pastoral society groups to apply for the 2023 Grants Program – offering grants of up to $10,000 to eligible projects.

“Our fabulous agricultural shows are a vital part of our rural and regional life, and I encourage all societies to consider new projects that could enhance our community facilities,” said Ms Kealy.

“The social connection and economic benefit of these events for regional towns is so important.

“This is a fantastic opportunity to build and improve our event infrastructure to support the wonderful food and fibre events we have in our region,” said Ms Kealy.

The wide range of projects that are eligible for funding include new or upgraded facilities for the displays for arts and craft, upgraded fencing or areas used for shearing demonstrations, wool exhibits or judging of animals.

There are also opportunities to fund the upgrade of toilets, seating, disabled access, and electricity and water supply through the grant program.

“The fund can also support projects which improve biosecurity, such as improved signage, or the creation of separate animal housing,” said Ms Kealy.
